Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails. – Proverbs 19:21 (NIV).
For months, I fretted about a situation at work.
I convinced myself God had to come through in a certain way. It was the only way, I decided.
Only when the announcement to move the project forward came, a different solution popped in my head.
Within an hour, I put the solution in motion, and it was approved. Problem solved.
We get in our way sometimes. Okay, a lot of the time.
We give God options A, B and C. We think these are the most logical choices. Instead God chooses Option D.
Let’s say that you already climbed a mountain. You are on top, guiding your teenage daughter up it. She doesn’t have a full perceptive of what problems she is going to encounter, but you do.
The same thing with God. He sees the beginning from the end of every situation. He knows what would happen if you took option A or B or C. He knows all the obstacles and the end result. He determined Option D was far better in the long run.
We need to let go of our options, our limited thinking, and seek God’s solution and apply it. When we do, the problem will be over. The solution in place.
Always consult before making tough decisions. He may have a solution of which you have yet to think or dream.
