Is There Still A Plan?

Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; – Romans 5:3

I have been through a lot of suffering.  I haven’t suffered as much as some.  I have suffered more than others.  Yet I am still here.

Even though I have made bad choices, even though I have seen and been through things that might have crumbled others, God always had a plan.  He still does.

I may have messed up, but my mistakes, my bad choices, do not change God’s plan for me.  He still has a plan to prosper me and not to harm me (Jeremiah 29:11).

God never gives up on me.  For that, I am eternally grateful.

Hoops Or Belief?

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16

God so loved the world.  The world.  Everyone who lives now.  Everyone who has ever lived.  Everyone who will ever live.  Why?  Because God is love.   Love not hate.

Only those who believe in His only begotten Son Jesus will have eternal life.

God didn’t hold out the carrot of everlasting life out and make us jump through hoops to get it.  He only put one condition on it.  We must believe in Jesus.

Plain and simple.  It is not God that makes everlasting life complicated.  It is us and our lack of understanding.

People think that if we follow the Ten Commandments, that is how we earn a ticket to everlasting life, but God knew we, as humans, couldn’t follow all the Commandments perfectly.  That is why He sent His Son to fulfill the Commandments for us.

It is through Jesus and His shed blood at the Cross that we have everlasting life.  All we have to do is believe in Jesus and what He did for us.

Where’s The Love?

And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. – Mark 12:31 (KJV)

Too many times we, as Believers, love those who love us.  We love those who we deem as doing right or that doesn’t have a past that is spotted or marred.  We don’t love as God loves.

God loves us even when we mess up.  God loves us no matter how we have screwed up in the past.  God loves us no matter what.

God even loves those who of another faith, those who are sinners, those who have committed the most vile crimes.

While everyone else is focusing on hate, let’s focus on love.  Let’s be love-conscious.  Loving God.  Loving ourselves. Loving others.  When we concentrate on love, when we focus on how we can love others and ourselves, we don’t have time to hate.

If we want more love in our lives, we have to learn to be loving, learn to show others love.

How can you be more loving to your spouse today?  Your kids?  Your boss?  Even your neighbor?
