The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? – Psalm 27:1 (NIV).
God is for us. The Creator of the Universe loves us and is on our side. Think about that, for a moment, God is for us mere human beings. He loves us enough to be concerned with even the smallest details of our lives. What concerns us concerns Him.
We act like this is not enough. We act like God is going to fail us, that He isn’t going to back us up.
Maybe you have been in a situation where it felt like He was nowhere to be found. I have been there. Perhaps you have been in a situation that felt like He was taking forever to deliver you from. I have been there too.
There may not be any light, any hope, in your situation right now, but I know that my God is faithful. I have experienced His faithfulness in my life.
Many times we don’t have the teaching of who God really is. We haven’t experienced God to know that we can trust Him. We haven’t studied the Bible to find out what God did for us at the Cross and why when we get a clear revelation of Jesus’ death and resurrection, our lives change, and we gain Power.
If we never get to know God, if we never learn from His Word about what He has done. If we never experience Him and what He has done, we can never fully trust Him.
And trust is the key to seeing more of God in our lives, to getting to the point where we can say, “If God is on my side, whom shall I fear?”
Choose to believe God and what His Word says. It doesn’t matter if you feel it. Make the decision to believe God first, then your feelings will eventually align with that decision.
All things are possible to those who believe.
